What you’ll do:
As an Outside Sales Rep in the Idaho and surrounding markets, you will generate new and repeat sales within your market through strong relationship building. This role will target business owners and contractors in Farm & Ranch industries focusing on products such as fencing, feed, pet, and lawn and garden. You will be expected to be in the field at least 75% of your working time, as the Company has found that significant time in the field relates to success in sales. Compensation is paid as a base salary plus commissions.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments and meetings with customers to identify potential prospects and present current product offers.
- Conduct sales presentations by meeting customers on daily basis.
- Provide professional demonstrations or presentations of Company products and services.
- Liaising between the Company and the customers for up-to-date pricing, service, and latest product-release launches.
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through research, networking, and cold calling.
- Enhancing up-to-date knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.
- Effectively attending conferences and trade shows, where applicable.
- Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining accurate expense accounts.
- Updating and maintaining customer account records, including contact names and numbers for future sales.
- Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
- Aggressively following up on business opportunities.
- Deliver on Sales/GM/ and expense budgets monthly. The outside sales associate will actively log all leads, customer touch points, bids, pricing requests, and final sales through Zendesk Sell.
- This individual shall complete a Sales Activity Report each week by the end of the day on Friday and submit it via email or in person.
- This Employee will provide a monthly Travel and Expense log via WellsOne to log and track all expenses.
- This associate will have a monthly P&L review of financials.
