What We Need

The Systems Administrator III plays a critical role in ensuring the success of Country Supplier by creating proactive, preventative solutions, and positive relationships with our customers. By being proactive, the team can address technical issues before they become incidents, reducing customer frustration. Preventative measures ensure that we are helping the company and our customers to achieve its goals, and positive relationships increase trust and collaborative efforts, which is especially important when providing remote support.

The Systems Admin III role is a technical leadership role working in the IT Admin/Dev team, having advanced experience and education in managing different on-premises and cloud-based systems infrastructures. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery preparations, as well as hardware lifecycle schedules for all server and storage systems in the company. Maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy standards and structures on premises and in Azure cloud is also critical to success in this role, along with documenting standards and procedures for the operations teams to follow to ensure consistent, secure, and stable success.

A Systems Admin III is integral to the data security, stability and integrity. Being capable of identifying and resolving root cause issues, as well as providing analysis of incidents and methods to mitigate that weakness are required strengths for the position. The candidate will collaborate with other members of the Development and Operations teams to implement projects and changes and support the overall business goals. A qualified candidate will be proactive in identifying organizational needs both in the present as well as future needs and is capable of developing and leading projects to meet those needs.

We need a dedicated Systems Administrator III who can:

• Configure, manage, and secure storage systems.
• Configure, manage, and secure Windows server infrastructure both physically and virtually.
• Configure, manage, and secure VMware infrastructure and applications.
• Install and configure server-based applications that support company goals and objectives.
• Configure, manage, monitor Azure instances and databases.
• Provide support for Operations team for any tasks and work beyond their ability or access.
• Develop, document, and maintain backup and restore policies and procedures. Test these regularly.
• Lead Systems Admin team in maintaining all on premises and hosted resources.
• Lead Systems Admin team in identifying, presenting, organizing and completing projects
• Coordinating with other IT Admins and Operations teams.
• Provide technical leadership for on premises resources such as Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, resource allocation, etc. as well as for resources hosted in Azure workspaces.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity Analysts to ensure the integrity and security of hosted and on-premises resources.
• Identify and present technology solutions to support business operations now and in the future.
• Maintain access, data syncs and external connections to internal systems based on industry standard security principles.
• Maintain and develop policies and procedures to support systems and business operations.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 environment.
• Lead systems-based Incident Response preparedness and Disaster Recovery efforts, including planning, implementing, testing and maintaining the technologies and procedures associated with them.
• Assist IT Operations and other teams in troubleshooting advanced systems issues preventing normal business operations.

What You Need
• Requires a bachelor’s degree.
• Some combination of 3 years minimum in managing Windows Servers, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware or other related technologies and systems.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Initiative-taking and independent time management.
• A strong understanding of network infrastructure principles.
